Full-Time Carpenter
Department: Facilities & Maintenance
Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Schedule: Friday to Monday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry, maintenance, and renovation projects across all PNE venues.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and building codes accurately to complete high-quality builds.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, steel, and composite materials.
- Construct walls, floors, roofs, and foundations in compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- Install finishing elements like stairs, doors, trims, and moldings.
- Operate and maintain power tools, hand tools, and mobile construction equipment safely.
- Build and dismantle temporary structures for events and festivals.
- Maintain accurate work documentation and timesheets.
- Promote a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 4–7 years of carpentry experience.
- Certification: Red Seal Trade Qualification (TQ) in carpentry is required.
- License: Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Technical knowledge of tools, materials, and carpentry methods.
- Able to work from sketches, plans, and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Physically fit to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform labor-intensive tasks.
- Must pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as scheduled.
